Welcome to British Columbia Model United Nations

British Columbia Model United Nations is the premier high school Model United Nations organization in the country, designed to provide an affordable, accessible, and accommodating MUN experience for youth all over the province. BCMUN creates a positive social impact through donations to charitable causes. For fiscal year 2013, BCMUN’s charitable donations exceeded $4000, $500 of which went to the Vancouver Food Bank.

In 2014, we expanded to places outside the Lower Mainland, including our inaugural conference on Vancouver Island. Our one-day conferences are ideal for students who want to make the most of their weekend, and our sustained success since our founding in 2010 are a testament to the excellence our business structure and leadership. One of our founders, Anjan Katta, was honored as one of Canada’s Top Twenty under 20 for his work.

Through a novel, social-entrepreneurial business model, we hope to facilitate the empowerment of youth, both locally and internationally, through our Model UN conferences and our charitable initiatives. We want to give the opportunity of MUN to the youth of BC, while at the same time create a charitable impact outside of that specific realm. We approach these two purposes with an equal commitment and fervour.
